Yarn
Description
A textile yarn is an assembly of fibres laid or twisted together to form a continuous strand. It may be made from numerous natural or synthetic fibres and filaments. Fibres are short pieces of hairs while filaments are long strands of a substance. A yarn is made through a process called spinning. There are three main categories of Yarn based on their material construction – Staple Yarn, Ply Yarn and Filament Yarn.
